Sacred Heart has always been known for its overwhelming generosity, compassion and care. One way the community is supported is through the Pastoral Care program.
The Pastoral Care Co-ordinator (PCC) manages the distribution of the community’s help in a practical yet anonymous way. Each year a List of Volunteers (LOV) is compiled to enable the contributions to be shared among our community as required.Our Pastoral Care program covers many areas of support for families in times of need. This support includes prayer, assistance in providing emergency childcare, food packages, and any other needs that may arise.
The people on the LOV list nominate ways in which they wish to assist. These may include:
- Preparing meals
- Financial support
The PCC holds the LOV list, and contacts people on the list as required, depending on the particular circumstances of each family in need.
